Sony asked Chandler to engineer, manufacture, install, and project manage two mock-up stores and one final pilot store within a ten week timeline. Klein Dytham architecture (KDa) provided Chandler with rough architectural dimensions and concepts and from there Chandler created a complete modular fixture package of over 65 pieces and over a dozen different fixture designs. Feats of Chandler's design include: fixtures wrapped in Corian with operable door fronts that have a push-to-open and soft-close feature; a wall system that accommodates TV mounts and has removable panels that can be easily changed out with the seasons; and a freestanding display wall that's suspended from a concealed overhead rolling track.

Chandler was recognized by the Association for Retail Environments (A.R.E.) with two design awards for their work on the Sony project. The first was the Grand Prize for a Hardline Specialty Store, and the second, the Store Fixture Award, honored the Sony Leap merchandising walls.
